Primarily, the Rotator Cuff muscles goal is to stabilise the head of the shoulder bone (the humerus) in the socket (the glenoid fossa). During arm movements, the rotator muscles also articulate head of the humerus in the socket to allow for full range of motion. Rotator Cuff irritations or tears are common injuries in the shoulder. In this class we will be incorporating helpful exercises to build a balance of strength and mobility in these muscles within a yoga flow.
