Mindfulness Workshop for School Teachers

Within this course, your teachers will learn the scientific theory behind the practice of mindfulness and meditation and gain the tools needed to embed the practice into their own lives and within the classroom.

Your teachers will:

  • Learn the basic principles of the Autonomic Nervous System and the difference between the parasympathetic nervous system and the sympathetic nervous system.
  • Have a clear understanding of why our breath and simple movements can be used as a way to manage our stress response.
  • Gain a clear understanding of the concept of Neuroplasticity and how we can use mindfulness and meditation as a way to rewire our thinking patterns.
  • Be lead through a guided mindfulness practice and be given a script that you can use for yourself and within the classroom.
  • Practice different mindfulness meditation exercises that they can use themselves as well as within the classroom.
  • Learn how to embed mindfulness meditation into the school day.

**Option to combine this workshop with a physical yoga practice as well**

Mindfulness Workshop for Teenagers (KS3/4)

Within this course, your students will learn the scientific theory behind the practice of mindfulness and meditation and gain the tools needed to help manage with the stresses and obstacles that they are faced with at school, at home and beyond.

**Please note that this is a basic overview and the course will be differentiated and pitched at the correct level for your children**

Your students will:

  • Learn the basic principles of the Autonomic Nervous System and the difference between the parasympathetic nervous system and the sympathetic nervous system.
  • Recognise the different stressors that they have in their lives and what impact this can have on their body physiologically.
  • Have a clear understanding of why our breath and simple movements can be used as a way to manage our stress response.
  • Gain a clear understanding of the concept of Neuroplasticity and how we can use mindfulness and meditation as a way to rewire our thinking patterns.
  • Be lead through a guided mindfulness practice and be given a script that they can use for themselves or with peers.
  • Practice different mindfulness meditation exercises that they can take away and embed into their daily lives.
  • This workshop is 45 minutes in duration.

Mindfulness Workshop for Children (KS1/ KS2)

Inspire, educate and empower your students to manage their own mental health.

Within this course, your children will gain a basic understanding of the scientific theory behind the practice of mindfulness and meditation and gain the tools needed to embed it into their own lives.

**Please note that this is a basic overview and the course will be differentiated and pitched at the correct level for your children**

Your children will:

  • Learn the basic principles of the Nervous System and the difference between the ‘Rest and Digest’ division of the nervous system and the ‘Fight of flight’ division of nervous system.
  • Learn how to take their own pulse so that they can measure their own heart rate to decide whether they are in the ‘rest and digest’ mode or ‘fight or flight’ mode.
  • Have a clear understanding of why our breath and simple movements can be used as a way to manage our stress response.
  • Be lead through a guided movement based mindfulness practice to bring their awareness to the physical sensations in their body: temperature of the skin, heart rate, pace of their breath.
  • Practice different mindfulness meditation exercises that they can use to invigorate their body to create energy.
  • Learn different mindfulness meditation exercises that they can use to calm their body and their mind.
