In this class, we combine gentle movement with held poses to soothe and ease the nervous system. This class is perfect at the end of the day to relieve stress and to set you up for a peaceful night of rest. The aim is to withdraw the senses to minimize stimulation and to focus inward on the breath and sensations which is the ultimate form of self-care and awareness. You’ll need 2 blocks, a blanket and a strap for this beginner friendly relaxing class.
I first met Diane in Thailand when we completed the Yoga Medicine Hip Biomechanics Module about 6 years ago. Since then, we have completed many more 500 hour modules together, team-taught on the Yoga Medicine 200 hour Teacher Training and, most recently, I completed the Mental Health Training that she created and delivered with Tiffany Cruikshank and Valerie Knopik.
